Targeted technical services

Focused technical work for defined business needs.

When a specific issue, change, or implementation requires deeper engineering support, MP Technology provides a contained engagement with clear scope, responsibilities, and completion criteria.

Typical requests

Defined work across cloud, infrastructure, security, and continuity.

Cloud productivity and identity configuration

Tenant settings, multifactor authentication, access policies, permissions, administrative controls, security settings, information protection, and related configuration.

Infrastructure and network remediation

Configuration correction, platform cleanup, lifecycle remediation, network changes, segmentation, remote access, and documentation.

Backup and continuity implementation

Backup configuration, local and off-site copies, retention, recovery planning, validation, and protection of business-critical systems.

Migration and implementation support

Contained migrations, upgrades, deployments, integrations, endpoint changes, and technical work packages within a larger client-led project.

Scope and responsibilities

Clear boundaries before changes begin.

  • The technical objective and expected completion state
  • Known environment details, access, and client responsibilities
  • Systems, locations, users, vendors, and dependencies in scope
  • Change windows, testing, rollback, and validation requirements
  • Documentation, handoff, and follow-up expectations
  • Conditions that require additional authorization or a revised scope

Estimating and scheduling

An engagement model matched to the level of uncertainty.

Well-defined work is documented in a statement of work with estimated hours, responsibilities, assumptions, and completion criteria. Time is tracked against the authorized project hours, and material additions require approval before proceeding.

Time-and-materials billing may be more appropriate when investigation, research, or discovery is a significant part of the work and the exact effort cannot be established responsibly in advance.

Targeted services are scheduled engagements. Emergency response, after-hours incident coverage, residential support, commodity repair, and ongoing help desk administration are not included.

Selected client engagement

Remote access and backup for a self-hosted medical application

A medical practice adopted a new electronic medical record system that required local hosting. The engagement included secure remote access for authorized staff who needed to complete documentation and other business functions outside the office.

The project also established local backup for the medical application and the practice's imaging system, along with a secondary off-site copy in cloud storage and defined retention settings. Configuration, access, backup coverage, and recovery requirements were documented as part of the final handoff.

Targeted technical services

Scope the work and establish a clear completion point.

Share the affected environment, the result you need, and any known access or timing constraints. The first conversation will determine whether the need is suitable for a targeted engagement.
